たとえば　古代ギリシャの彫塑であるなら

顔を欠き　腕を欠いても

その背後に隠れている何かを

ある時は眼

ある時は耳

ある時は心で 視ることもできるだろう

 

だが　２１世紀のいま

おそらく　この水の惑星は

引き返すことのできない変貌の途上にある

それで　ぼくたちは眼を閉じるのだ

両手をひろげて立ちすくむのだ

 

ぼくたちが経験したことのない

有害紫外線を通過させるオゾンホールは

ぼくにとって想像力の中にしか

思い浮かばないイメージだが

そこではどのような光りが

そして　においが

どのような＜欠如＞が忍び寄っているのか

 

ぼくの家の　黒柴犬の血をひくアロンの鼻は

どうやら　極北を指しているらしい

おそらく　かれの中の古代の嗅覚は

かすかに青く特有のにおいをもつ

地球の被膜ともいうべきオゾン層の

微妙な変化をとらえているはずだ

 

弗素と炭素の化合物

フルオロ・カーボンの通称である　フロン

全廃へ向けての小さな波動

それがやがて重なって

海になれば　それがぼくたちのいのちだ

プラネット・アースの旗の下に．．．．．．

 

 

Under the flag of the planet earth
